WHEN FAVOR MEETS PREPARATION — LESSONS FROM ESTHER

Esther’s journey reminds us that favor may open the door, but character, wisdom, humility, and preparation help us remain positioned for purpose.

Esther entered an environment she did not choose, but she demonstrated qualities that prepared her for what was ahead. She was discreet, disciplined, grounded, humble, and coachable. She listened to Mordecai’s counsel even as her access and influence increased. And when she encountered Hegai, she found favor—receiving special preparations, provisions, attendants, and the best place in the harem.

There is a powerful lesson here: Don’t allow a new season to make you forget the wisdom that helped prepare you for it.

Sometimes we are so excited about getting into the room that we forget that staying prepared for our purpose is more important than simply gaining access.

💬 LET’S TALK: Which quality do you believe is most important when God is preparing you for your next season?

A. Discipline B. Humility C. Being Coachable D. Discretion
